Bowed Gongs, Recorded Live - EPIC Studios, Norwich, UK
Bowed Gongs is an improvised performance conceived, designed and performed in collaboration with Alex Sanders. The piece is performed for an undetermined long duration on three tuned wind gongs.
The piece, performed acoustically is structured around repetitions of singular gestures, long held movements and lightly tapped/ struck tempos. . Each performer attempts to effect a range of complimenting and contrasting timbres from each respective gong and through these repetitions, working towards a mutually defined moment when the piece ends.
